How we collect and use personal data
Privacy
This Privacy Policy is incorporated into our “Terms” and explains our practices regarding the collection, use and disclosure of information that we receive and how your personal information is protected. As the data controller, filmflow.org (hereinafter referred to as we, our, us, platform, services) takes privacy very seriously. We therefore encourage you to read this policy carefully before submitting personal information that can identify you as an individual.
Consent
By using our platform, or by allowing someone to use our platform on your behalf, you consent to the collection, use, disclosure, transfer and storage of any personal data or other information that we receive.
Disclosure
We do not sell, trade or transfer your personal information to third parties. However, we reserve the right to share and disclose personal information when 1) permitted or required by law, 2) to protect against potential fraud or unauthorized transactions, 3) when we engage with third parties to perform commercial functions such as credit card transactions, 4) as we develop our business, we may sell or buy assets.
Amendments
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to change, modify, add or remove portions of these terms from time to time, without notice and without liability to you. You should therefore regularly visit this page to review the latest updates.
Questions
If you have any concerns about these terms, you can send us a message.

Personal Data
We collect personal information only when you provide it to us voluntarily and only for our legitimate needs, such as when you register on our platform, place an order or subscribe to our newsletter, including but not limited to your name, email address or country of residence. Where appropriate, we may ask you to provide additional information to confirm your identity, such as a driver’s license, passport or similar form of identification.
Data We Collect
We may collect anonymous information (Non-Personal Data) that cannot be used to identify you as an individual such as statistical and analytical data (number of visitors, browser types, languages or geographic locations) that web browsers, applications and servers typically collect through cookies. Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and/or other geolocation data may be collected to restrict access to certain digital content or to limit our services to certain countries/regions outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Visitor comments, IP addresses and browser user agent strings may be reviewed by an automated spam detection service. All payment information is collected and stored by independent third party payment processors.
Data We Use
In general, we use the personal information we collect to communicate with you from time to time to provide support, solicit feedback, send you relevant updates (newsletters, alerts, reviews, etc.), or for other purposes that we disclose to you at the time we collect your information and that we believe may be of interest to you. You will always have the option to “opt-out” of non-relevant communications, either through your account or by following the usual unsubscribe instructions.
Data Retention
In order to fulfill the purposes described above, we may retain some information about you for as long as necessary as required or permitted by applicable law.
Disclaimer
We use reasonable security measures and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology to protect and secure your information, both during transmission and at reception. However, no method is 100% secure and we cannot be held responsible for any data breaches.
Cookies
Cookies are simple text files that are downloaded to your computer when you visit websites or mobile applications, and usually contain a unique user ID. Session cookies, or technical cookies, help identify your computer to temporarily facilitate your web experience, for example by automatically setting the appropriate language or currency for your country. Because they do not track users to other websites, session cookies do not require prior consent. When appropriate, we may use analytics cookies to compile anonymous insights about site traffic and audience data. However, since opt-in consent directives have made analytics tools such as Google Analytics overly complicated, if not useless, we have decided to only use self-hosted analytics tools that comply with data protection laws such as the GDPR, CCPA and PECR, which do not require user consent.
Advertising
We may use an ad-based video-on-demand (AVOD) service to serve advertisements based on your IP address (region, country and/or city) while you are watching video content. That said, advertising providers do not have access to your personal information and cannot identify you.
External Links
Our platform may provide links to other websites, resources or social media sharing buttons such as Facebook, Linkedin or Whatsapp. Embedded content (e.g. videos) from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor had visited the other website. Because we have no control over these “external links”, you acknowledge that these links may in fact use advertising cookies to track visitors wherever they go, even if you do not use them. Users can protect themselves by installing third-party add-ons such as Disconnect for Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Safari or Opera web browsers to instantly block tracking requests on a per-domain basis.
Right to Erasure
If you have an account and are registered on this site, in certain circumstances, such as unlawful processing of personal information, you have the right to delete all of your personal data in accordance with applicable laws such as the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). If we have reasonable doubt about your identity, we may ask you to provide a copy of your ID card to confirm your identity.
Disclaimer
Please note that the right to erasure is not absolute: when it conflicts with fundamental rights such as freedom of expression and information, publishing and archival platforms may legally refuse to delete photos, articles, videos, or audio recordings published for journalistic, artistic, literary, or public-interest purposes.
